Tooth-Colored Fillings
A filling repairs a cavity that has occurred as a result of tooth decay. We may also recommended placing a filling on a slightly chipped or cracked tooth. We create aesthetic tooth-colored fillings using a composite material that is color matched to the shade of your own teeth.
Dental Crowns
A dental crown or a "cap" is used to cover and restore a tooth that is too damaged to be repaired with a filling material. The crown encases and surrounds your tooth to help strengthen and protect it from further damage. We may recommend a crown to restore a tooth that is fractured or cracked. A crown may also be necessary due to a large tooth cavity or following root canal treatment. A crown can also be used to cover a tooth that is discolored, severely stained or misshapen.
Bridges
A dental bridge is used to span the empty space where one or more teeth have been lost. Bridges are designed as one connecting unit with an artifical tooth that is secured to the adjacent teeth with dental crowns. The teeth on either end of the empty space are first shaped and prepared to accept crowns. The bridge consists of the two crowns to provide support and the artificial tooth (or teeth) between them.
Veneers
Veneers are thin shells laid over the front surface of your teeth to enhance their natural appearance. Veneers can cover severely stained teeth, concealchipped or broken teeth, reshape poorly proportioned or misaligned teeth. They can also be used to fill small gaps or imperfections between the teeth.
Root Canals
A root canal (endodontics) procedure consists of the removal of the tooth's pulp due to an infection or fracture. During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed. An untreated infection can lead to severe pain or swelling or an abscessed tooth.
