A filling repairs a cavity that has occurred as a result of tooth decay. We have several different materials available for dental fillings and will consult with you to determine what type of treatment is best.
A crown is used to cover a tooth that is too damaged to repair with normal filling material or to restore a tooth that is weak or fractured. A crown can also be used to cover a tooth that is discolored or misshapen.
A bridge is used to span the space where one or more teeth have been lost. Typically the teeth on either end of the gap are first shaped to accept crowns. The bridge consists of the two crowns to provide support and the artificial tooth (or teeth) between them.
Veneers are thin shells laid over the fronts of you teeth to enhance their natural appearance. Veneers can cover stained teeth or teeth that are badly shaped. They can also be used to fill small gaps or imperfections between the teeth.
A root canal (endodontics) procedure consists of the removal of the tooth's pulp due to an infection. During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed. An untreated infection can lead to severe pain or swelling or an abscessed tooth.
